Privacy Policy
This is a simple site for a book. Here is the plain-language account of what it collects and why.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site — for example, whether a visit came from YouTube or Pinterest (via UTM tags in links) and which pages get read. GA4 sets cookies and collects usage data (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). We use this only in aggregate; we don't sell it or use it to identify you. You can block analytics with browser settings or extensions, and the site keeps working. See Google's privacy policy for how Google processes this data.
Email sign-up (free chapter)
If you request the free chapter, we collect your email address to send you the chapter PDF and occasional news about the Black Genius Files books (like the Vol. 2 launch). The list is held with our email provider and is never sold or shared for others' marketing. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. To have your address deleted entirely, email us and we'll do it.
Purchases
Ebook checkout happens on Payhip; paperback purchases happen on Amazon. Your payment details go to those platforms, not to us — we never see or store card numbers. Payhip shares with us what's needed to deliver your order (name, email, order details). Refunds for digital downloads are handled per our Payhip storefront's refund policy — if something's wrong with your order, contact us and we'll make it right.
Link tags (UTM)
Links from our videos and pins carry UTM tags (like utm_source=youtube) so we know which content brought you here. These tags are kept for your visit in your browser's session storage and passed along when you click through to Payhip or Amazon. They describe the link you clicked, not you.
What we don't do
- No selling or renting of personal data.
- No third-party ad networks or tracking pixels beyond GA4.
- No accounts, passwords, or profiles on this site.
