Executive directors and program directors at education nonprofits and after-school programs with roughly $100,000–$2,000,000 in annual budgets — organizations doing real work with real outcomes, where one person is already wearing five hats and grant writing keeps getting pushed to the end of the week.
Dixon Grant Studio is built and run by D. Antione Dixon, who works inside a Title I LAUSD elementary school as an instructional aide and campus technology trainer, is a Watts of Power Foundation Teaching Fellow, holds an MBA in Marketing from LMU, and is a festival-selected documentary producer who has built investor pitch materials for his own films. He grew up around and works daily inside under-resourced education — he knows the funding pain of small education organizations firsthand — and he understands the persuasion craft of a winning pitch document from building them for film investors. That combination is what goes into every application this studio writes.
